Brief History:
Mrs. Sandra Emeka Obilor created Sandon Fashion Designer (SFD) with her husband Emeka K. Donald Obilor in late 2005. Sandon Fashions as first conceived through their equal emotions and love for creative tasty-fashions (The name Sandon was created by combing first three letter words of Sandra and first three letter words of Donald to form Sandon). Once a small in-house boutique runner from their living room in Ajao Estate, Lagos-Nigeria. The passion of seeing family and friends who were at then supporting Sandon, wore a personalized fitted creations that have a signature of their identity and personality irrespective of ones figures drew Sandon into Pattern Design clothes making as to ensure its clients wore personalized made to fit clothes and non-duplicatable designs. In other words your designs are yours and yours alone, not uniformed.
Sandon rapidly became one of Lagos’s most important fashion destinations, grew quickly and moved to Suite 13 Biyot Shopping Plaza, from where it’s currently serving chains of clientele within Nigeria and abroad and specializing both in men and women full African designs, full English designs and combination of African-English designs in one piece/fabric.
Mrs. Sandra Emeka Obilor, (pictured above) who holds Business Administration (BA) from the University of Lagos-Nigeria is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, having been endowed with deep creativity by grace and various fashion creative studies, with qualitative inspirations and ideas which she continues to transcends into local African fabrics and styles to bring about individual identity and personality. Her talent for spotting future fashion trends, do’s and don’ts and her unrelenting desire to ensure customer’s personalized satisfaction with every design touch is nothing more than a hunch, "it just happens", she says. These rare ideals has landed Sandon Fashion Designer (SFD) as ‘a temple of style in the heart of its customers’.
